Our Company's History
Ridgeline Forestry Services founder Frank Coelho began his career in 1985 working for Skookum Reforestation, a well-known forestry contractor located in Eugene, OR. At the young age of fifteen, Frank moved out on his own and began working as a production tree planter and wildland firefighter. His hard work and eagerness to learn new skills allowed him to quickly advance within the company, taking on new projects and greater responsibilities. By the age of 20, Frank was supervising precommercial thinning and tree planting crews, and managing forestry contracts with the US Forest Service, BLM, OR Dept. of Forestry, Weyerhaeuser, Roseburg Forest Products, and Giustina Land and Timber, among many others.
In 2003, Frank accepted a position as a forestry technician with Roseburg Forest Products, a long-time customer. After a brief tenure, he was recruited by Menasha Forest Management Services in 2004. At Menasha, Frank honed his forestry skills in a management role, where he was responsible for bidding on and supervising forest management projects for a diverse range of public and private timberland owners. Over his prior 25 years in the industry, Frank gained extensive hands-on experience and knowledge about forestry practices and all phases of forest management in the Pacific Northwest.
In 2010, Frank founded Ridgeline Forestry Services LLC, focusing on timber cruising. Since then, Frank and Ridgeline Forestry Services have maintained an outstanding reputation in Oregon, Southwest Washington, Western Idaho, and Northern California. Foresters know that with Ridgeline Forestry Services, they receive experienced, hardworking, safety-conscious individuals who can be relied upon to conduct their work with precision and integrity. Ridgeline Forestry Services has worked contracts with notable clients, such as Roseburg Forest Products, Roseboro, Weyerhaeuser, the Oregon Department of Forestry, BLM, and various small private non-industrial timberland owners. We bring professionalism, accuracy, and experience while prioritizing safety first to every project we undertake.
